I always encourage them<br />
to continue learning, the<br />
process never ends. No one<br />
will ever know everything<br />
because education is a<br />
journey not a destination.<br />
Personally, I think everyone<br />
should strive to become a<br />
better dentist each and every<br />
year. Not only will it benefit<br />
your patients, but you will<br />
be passionate about what<br />
you are practicing as well. In<br />
doing so, dentistry becomes<br />
your ‘hobby’ not your ‘job’.<br />
I’d also tell them to find<br />
a mentor. If they look at<br />
another’s success and wish<br />
it for themselves, then ask<br />
questions to find out what<br />
they are doing. Most LVI<br />
successful people are happy<br />
to share their experiences<br />
and to mentor someone.<br />
Take them up on it! One of<br />
the things I love about LVI<br />
dentists is their openness to<br />
share what they have learned<br />
and to motivate others to<br />
make education a priority.<br />

I don’t really call it a ‘job’,<br />
it is more of a ‘lifestyle’.<br />
I’m fortunate to work 24/7<br />
with the love of my life, Bill<br />
Dickerson. Together we work<br />
tirelessly to make LVI the<br />
best place in the world for<br />
post graduate education. In<br />
saying that, I LOVE what I<br />
do! I couldn’t ask for a better<br />
team here at LVI and our 70<br />
instructors as well. The best<br />
way to describe us is one big<br />
happy family. Being around<br />
like minded people is why<br />
our community of alumni is<br />
so very strong. No one feels<br />
like they are out there alone!<br />

We are there for each other<br />
and our forum is active with<br />
support so people can get<br />
help online at any time since<br />
we have alumni from all over<br />
the world.<br />
I am really inspired by the<br />
attendees coming through<br />
the programs. When I see<br />
them help a patient by<br />
eliminating a lifetime of<br />
neck pain, shoulder pain,<br />
headaches, etc, and share<br />
that experience firsthand or<br />
when they seat an aesthetic<br />
case and the patient cries<br />
in excitement when seeing<br />
the result, it makes it all<br />
worthwhile.<br />
Just last week one of our<br />
doctors was sharing with me<br />
how she had alleviated her<br />
patient of severe migraines<br />
with NM Orthotic therapy.<br />
She said, “If I never touch<br />
another patient again, all of<br />
my education, and all I have<br />
done to become the dentist I<br />
am today is worthwhile.” How<br />
powerful is that? I wish that<br />
experience for every dentist<br />
out there.<br />
