1. Current Situation
The world is a commercial society with
people buying and selling products around
the clock thanks to the global marketplace
and structure of the Internet. There are
different techniques used for selling
products, but so far, direct selling has proven
to be the best. Consumers like one-to-one
interactions. They are personable and they
allow relationship building. Direct sellers
have the opportunity to do what no one else
can do and that includes bonding with their
client, defining their needs and providing
them with personalized solutions for their
problems.
This is why direct selling still remains
number one all over the world. In a society
where everything is based on numbers and
people are forced to interact with machines
on a daily basis, salespeople have become
one of the most critical factors for driving
production and market revenues. In fact,
direct sellers are responsible for up to 90
percent of the world’s retail sales. This is
an astounding and remarkable figure when
taken into consideration. The countries
surveyed in the recent analysis conducted by
the WFDSA Global Research Sub-Committee,
United States DSA Industry Research
Committee, and Insights Lead and Consumer
& Market Insights for Amway revealed that
of the 22 countries surveyed, each produces
more than $1 billion in sales each year. That
is a tremendous amount of money and there
is still potential for more.
