President’s Message
As I embark on the Presidency of the Chamber, let me first
hope for you and yours, the very best in 2006.
We all need to thank Pam Allen for her leadership though a
new beginning at the Chamber in 2005. It is my belief that the
Chamber is enjoying a Board of Directors that is dedicated to the
betterment of our community and business
environment.
To this end the Board will be looking
for your input and suggestions, and
hopefully your support of the Chamber’s
activities. There are openings on every
committee, including the Waterfront and
Jazz Festival committees.
We are also looking to enlarge the Destination
Downtown Anacortes division
of the Chamber, and are looking for merchants
who are willing to help. Later this
month the Board will hold our annual
retreat. If there is something you feel we Bill Berry works at 2005
need to undertake, please let myself or Lion’s Christmas Parade.
any Board member know.
Finally, I would like to say that I feel honored to serve with
the present Board of Directors, Executive Director Michael
Broome, and an office staff that always seems up to whatever task
is given them. It’s my opinion that they just don’t get any better,
and for ours members, they are dedicated to making the Anacortes
Chamber of Commerence the best it can be.
