Let's talk Common
Sense about Christmas
Gifts for Invalids and
Convalescents-
At Christmas — and 364 other days throughout
th# year — the most important "want" of the
invalid, and to a lesser degree, the convalescent,
is body comfort. An expensive necktie . . . a
bonie of imported perfume . . . a sweater or
blouse, all are appreciated by your disabled
friend or relative, but is it the gift that will do
most good ? That will be most practical throughout
the year?
Too often the well-meaning friend or
relative who plans a gift for the invalid
develops the false notion that a colorful
or frivolous present is most desirable'
because it will cheer up the afflicted.
Such may be the case, but there
are far more important considerations.
The bedridden or disabled friend is, more often
than not, suffering a financial as well as physical
disability. Medical fees and hospital bills are but
part of the financial .burden. At such a time an
honest/ forthright gift of a .wheel chair cushion
... a bed tray ... a four-legged cane ... a fore-
'• arm crutch, any one of dozens of such gifts will
be truly bppreeipled and USED. We would be
pleased to advis* you on the choice of an appropriate
invalid's gift from our unusually large
Stock of sick room supplies. Come in today, or
tonight.
