that provides long-lasting, durable and a decorative finish to interior or exterior 

concrete and masonry surfaces. H&C Concrete Stain Solid Color Water-Based 

is highly resistant to pool chemicals. 


H&C Concrete Stain Solid Color Water- 

Based bonds to concrete and forms a 

tough shield so it doesn’t fade, peel or 

flake like paint. It is resistant to acids, 

ultraviolet rays, oil, gas and alkali while 

maintaining a decorative finish. Available 

in a variety of ready-to-use and tintable 

colors, as well as a clear, this stain is 

ideal for high pH surfaces. Fortified with 

silicone, this easy to apply solid color 

stain comes in prepackaged colors, and

H&C California Concrete Stain is a solid color low odor, water-based 

acrylic concrete stain that will provide superior protection and beauty to both 

interior or exterior concrete and masonry surfaces. H&C California Concrete 

Stain is highly resistant to pool chemicals, and many household chemicals. 


H&C California Concrete Stain bonds to concrete and forms a tough shield so it 

doesn’t fade, peel or flake like paint. It is resistant to acids, ultraviolet rays, oil, gas 

and alkali while maintaining a decorative finish. Available in a variety of tintable colors, 

this stain is ideal for high pH surfaces. This easy to apply concrete stain is nationally 

compliant.

H&c ® Shield-crete ® Epoxy concrete Floor coatings 

H&C Shield-Crete Epoxy Concrete Garage Floor Coating Kit is a 2-part epoxy 

kit that is durable as it is beautiful. A unique formulation requires minimal surface 

prep while providing excellent resistance to hot-tire pick up. Shield-Crete Epoxy 

Concrete Garage Floor coating is the premium choice in garage floor epoxies. 

Shield-Crete can also be used on basement floors, or any interior concrete floor. 

It can be used in some full outdoor applications, but the sun’s UV rays may 

diminish the gloss finish, as well as fade the color over time. 

H&C Shield-Crete Epoxy Garage Floor Contractor Kits cover up to 1000 

square feet. The kit comes with everything you need for that large commercial or 

industrial project (Deco-Flakes, however, are sold separately). Contractor kits are 

available in pewter and beige only. 


Easy, 3-step application is resilient for years of wear and tear. Shield-Crete is permeable; meaning 

it allows your concrete to breathe while resisting hot tire pick-up. No induction, or sweat-in time 

is necessary, just mix and apply. You can pull your car back into the garage in 3 days, while other 

epoxy kits require 7 days before vehicular traffic. It is resistant to chemical agents and damage 

caused by gasoline, brake fluid, standing water and battery acid. Shield-Crete cleans up with just 

soap and water.

H&c ® Shield-crete ® Holographic and deco-Flakes 

Shield-Crete Deco-Flakes provide a unique decorative finish to your Shield- 

Crete Epoxy Concrete Garage Floor project. They are available in 5 blends: 

Pewter, ivory/beige, red, green and holographic. A one-pound bag is included 

in every Shield-Crete Epoxy kit, however they are also sold seperately if extra 

flakes are desired. The one-pound bag is sufficient for every 200-250 square 

foot area (a one-car garage), at about 25% coverage. The flakes are vinyl, a 

form of latex, so they are extremely safe to use. 



Deco-Flakes help hide imperfections on the 

floor like small cracks, or minor pitting. They 

add a bit of extra traction as well. The quart 

contains 24 ounces of flakes, slightly more 

than the 16 ounces/1 pound included in the 

kit. Feel free to use any blend with any of the

Shield-Crete Acrylic Clear Glaze is a low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) 

clear water-based acrylic sealer. It is designed to lock in the flakes of 

Shield-Crete ® Epoxy Concrete Garage Floor Coating. The can is filled to cover 

a 2-1/2 car garage, or 400 square feet. This easy to apply, low odor product 

will provide superior protection and added gloss. 


Shield-Crete Acrylic Clear Glaze is a high 

gloss, easy-to-use protective coating 

designed specifically for use on garage 

floors. It resists common chemical agents 

while maintaining a protective barrier for the 

decorative flakes in the Shield-Crete Epoxy 

kit. It makes it easier to keep your garage 

floor clean as well, long after you’ve 

completed the project for years to come.

H&c ® Semi-transparent decorative Stains 

H&C Semi-Transparent Decorative Stains is an exciting alternative to 

reactive acid stains. There are no acids or harmful chemicals integrated in its 

design. Since no chemical reaction takes place, there is no extended waiting 

time for color to reach full development. H&C Semi-Transparent Decorative 

Stain penetrates the inherent porosity of cementitious products to produce 

vibrant color. Color may be “built up” without the worry of spending all the 

alkalinity, as with acid stain. H&C Water-Based Semi-Transparent Decorative 

Stain saves time on the job with no rinsing, no mopping, no neutralizing, and no 

residue. 


H&C Semi-Transparent Decorative Stain 

lets you achieve a layered, faux or single 

color look in a lot less time than acid stains. 

Etching is required prior to application to 

open pores of the concrete. When layering 

stain, apply lighter colors first. Water-based 

or solvent-based sealers can be applied 

as topcoats.

H&C Acetone Dye Stains lets you achieve a layered, faux or single color look

H&c ® commercial grade Water repellents 

H&C SL-40 silane water repellent is a high performance water repellent that 

penetrates into the substrate and provides long term weatherproofing protection. 

It’s a single component product that is ready to use and typically requires only one 

application. SL-40 will not darken the surface or leave a visible surface film. 

SL-40 penetrates deeper into the surface to chemically react with and bond to it. 

H&C SX-7 siloxane water repellents are designed to weatherproof old and new 

concrete and masonry surfaces against natures destructive forces. It provides a 

long lasting breathable barrier that resists cracking, airborne dust and dirt, salt, 

efflorescence, and spalling. SX-7 is a 7% siloxane. 


SL-40 silane water repellent is a proprietary 40% Silane that penetrates into concrete and an 

excellent moisture inhibitor. It will not change the traction or skid resistance of horizontal surfaces, 

and doesn’t require masking or cleaning of windows. H&C SL-40 Silane Water Repellent 

prevents efflorescence leaching, and prevents attack of deicing salts and chloride ions. 

Drums are available upon request. 

SX-7 has zero VOC’s, is a water-based formulation which allows for safe application in occupied 

buildings. The substrate will continue to breathe after the coating is applied.

H&C SharkGrip Slip Resistant Additive is a micronized polymer to be stirred 

into H&C coatings for slip resistance, fine texturing and gloss reduction. Use in 

areas that tend to be damp, wet or slippery. 



SharkGrip easily stirs into most oil-based and waterbased 

paints and other coatings, due to its low oil 

absorption and high solvent resistance. Its low density 

allows it to stay well suspended in thin materials such 

as stains and sealers.

H&C Cleaner Degreaser is a concentrated heavy-duty cleaner that will remove

opens the pores in the concrete so H&C Concrete stains and sealers can bond

Biodegradable – will not harm vegetation. 


H&C Etching Solution removes efflorescence (alkali 

salts) and can also reduce the pH level of new 

concrete and new mortar joints. As a phosphoric 

acid-based solution, it is user-friendly and won’t harm 

plants or vegetation should it come in contact with it. 

Simply spray any surrounding vegetation with water 

so the Etching Solution can roll off. This product is 

also safe to use indoors (basement floors, interior 

concrete floors), should the project warrant it.
