Marijuana<br />
Aunt Mary, boom, chronic (Marijuana alone or with<br />
crack), dope, joint, blunts, gangster, ganja, grass, hash,<br />
herb, kif, Mary Jane, pot, reefer, sinsemilla, skunk, weed.<br />
Hashish or hash oil<br />
Hash, oil, honey oil.<br />
Products of the hemp plant, Cannabis sativa. The<br />
main active chemical in marijuana and hashish is THC<br />
(delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol). Hashish is a reddishbrown<br />
or black coloured THC-rich resinous material of<br />
the cannabis plant. Hashish is collected, dried, and then<br />
compressed into a variety of forms such as balls, cakes,<br />

coordination, increased heart rate, and anxiety. These<br />
eff ects are even greater when other drugs are mixed<br />
with marijuana. A user may also experience dry mouth<br />
and throat. Studies have shown that a single marijuana<br />
joint can cause more damage than 2.5 to fi ve cigarettes<br />
and result in chronic bronchitis and airfl ow obstruction. 1<br />
This comparatively greater damage of cannabis may be<br />
explained, in part, by the way it is smoked—without a<br />
