Bardala
Background
The original residents of Bardala, a village
established in the Ottoman era, relied on
rain-fed agriculture and animal husbandry
for their livelihoods. During the British
Mandate, the villagers drilled a well in the
area, known as the Bardala well, which
greatly enhanced the capabilities of local
farmers. During the 1967 War, the Israeli
military forcibly transferred Palestinians from
nearby villages into Bardala, as well as to
Jordan and Tubas.
