few examples reflecting <strong>the</strong> attitude <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> Westerners towards <strong>the</strong><br />
Muslim Turks. From those days until now, <strong>the</strong> establishment <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> this<br />
negative <str<strong>on</strong>g>image</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Muslim Turks did not change. There is c<strong>on</strong>tinuously a<br />
negative campaign against <strong>the</strong> Muslim Turks by placing <strong>the</strong>m as <strong>the</strong><br />
“o<strong>the</strong>rs” in <strong>the</strong> Western culture. This perhaps explains <strong>the</strong> reas<strong>on</strong> why<br />
still Turkey is not accepted to become a member <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> European Uni<strong>on</strong>.<br />
