If you already have an undergraduate (bachelor’s) degree, we offer numerous graduate programs in the<br />

sciences and humanities. Generally, tuition is $5,170 CAD per year, but some specialized programs have<br />

tuition that is different.<br />

AdMission requireMents<br />

These are the minimum requirements for<br />

admission to the College of Graduate Studies<br />

and Research. Individual departments may<br />

have different admission requirements,<br />

which can be found online or discussed with<br />

graduate studies representatives in each<br />

department. English proficiency requirements<br />

can be found at<br />

MAster’s degree<br />

Generally, you require a four-year bachelor’s<br />

degree — usually at the honours level — or<br />

equivalent from a recognized college or<br />

university with a cumulative weighted average<br />

of at least 70% (U of S grade system equivalent)<br />

in the last two years of study (i.e. 60 credit<br />

units). Alternatively, you could hold a threeyear<br />

first-cycle undergraduate degree in an<br />

academic discipline relevant to your proposed<br />

field of study, from a European institution that<br />

meets the criteria set forth in the Bologna<br />

Declaration.<br />

How to apply for Graduate Studies<br />

doctorAl degree<br />

You require a bachelor’s and a master’s degree<br />

from a recognized university with a cumulative<br />

weighted average of at least 70% (U of S grade<br />

system equivalent) in the last two years of study<br />

(i.e. 60 credit units).<br />

PostgrAduAte diPloMA<br />

You require a four-year honours degree or<br />

equivalent from a recognized college or<br />

university with a cumulative weighted average of<br />

at least 65% (U of S grade system equivalent) in<br />

the last two years of study (i.e. 60 credit units).<br />
