In 1972, just 25 years old,<br />
Hermann Paintner designed<br />
and built his first<br />
comprehensive self-propelled<br />
sugar beet harvester.<br />
A powerful ”piece of<br />
equipment“: that is the<br />
six-row beet harvester.<br />
This machine has already<br />
caused quite a stir among<br />
the professionals.<br />

khe. SITTELSDORF. One can well imagine the suspense<br />
that for some weeks captivated the occupants at the attractive<br />
Paintner farm similar to the atmosphere at Cape<br />
Kennedy prior to the launch of the first space craft. The<br />
Paintner family found themselves in exactly the same<br />
state when young Hermann, just 25 years old, was building<br />
his six-row beet harvester in the farm’s workshop:<br />
is this monster going to work or have the owners of 100<br />
hectares of land in the Rottenburg/Laaber and Mallersdorf<br />
regions backed a phantom?
