Acknowledgments The ULI Rose Center would like to thank Detroit mayor Dave Bing, Planning and Facilities Group executive Karla Henderson, Planning and Development Department deputy director Marja Winters, and Detroit Economic Growth Corporation vice president Olga Stella for agreeing to be Daniel Rose Fellows. The Rose Center also thanks city of Detroit communications manager Dan Lijana for serving as the fellowship team coordinator and all the preceding for hosting this Rose Center city study visit panel. Interviews were conducted with numerous stakeholders, including neighborhood association members, business owners, representatives from the University of Detroit Mercy, staff from many city departments and the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, and representatives of the real estate, community development, and urban design professions from ULI Detroit. These stakeholders provided invaluable information and diverse perspectives that greatly aided the panel’s understanding of the city’s land use challenge.
