The FCD gain / noise stability is better than that shown in Figure 3. The<br />

graph shows the total signal level from the radio telescope feed <strong>with</strong> its<br />

preamplifiers (but not mounted in the 3m dish) when connected to the<br />

FCD. The total signal is constant to about + - 0.05dB which is adequate<br />

for radio observations of signals from the Milky Way for example.<br />
