experienced untruth as truth. We have, therefore, mistaken 'asadhu' for<br />

'sadhu'. This body was not before it came out of the womb of its mother. It<br />

will not be after death. At the age of 16 it is not what it was at the age of<br />

5. At the age of 50 it is not what it was at the age of 16. Our experience of<br />

five years is not the same as our experience of 16 years, and our<br />

experience of 16 years is not the same as our experience of 60 years. The<br />

Truth Absolute was before everything else came to be. He would remain<br />

when everything else would cease to exist. Parameshwara is 'Satyam<br />

Param' the Truth as He is, not a thing of mental conception.<br />

Parameshwara should not be supposed to submit Himself to be reduced to<br />

any shape or form which the whims of different human minds might wish<br />

to reduce. Him to Meditation is not possible unless we are blessed with a<br />

sight of Him as He is. Therefore, the meditation talked of in the first sloka<br />

of <strong>Sri</strong>mad Bhagwat, which is really an index to all that follows in that book,<br />

is not a mere affair of imagination or speculation. Let us not engage<br />

ourselves in a mere mimicry of meditation. We, in our present bound<br />

state, do not know anything about the affairs of the transcendental region.<br />

Parameswara is Adhokshaja, i.e., He has reserved to Himself the right of<br />

not being exposed to the senses.<br />

We should not look for a possibility of comprehending Parameshwara by<br />

means of our crippled senses and puppy brains. The Vedas say so.<br />

nayam atma pravacanena labyo<br />

na medhaya na bahuna srutena<br />

yam evaisa vrnute tena labhyas<br />

tasyaisa atma vivrnute tanum svam<br />

But Parameshwara has His eternal servitors. If we try to understand those<br />

servitors sincerely we can understand something about Parameswara.<br />

Sree Krishna says this to Arjun in <strong>Sri</strong>mad Bhagawat Gita-<br />

ye bhajanti tu mam bhaktya<br />

mayi te tesu capy aham<br />

(Gita 9/29)<br />

The bhaktas are in Me and I am in My bhaktas. Sreemad Bhagawat also<br />

says the same thing.<br />

janasya krsnad vimukhasya daivad<br />

adharma-silasya suduhkhitasya<br />

anugrahayeha caranti nunam<br />

bhutani bhavyani janardanasya<br />
