19 SPACE AND LOCAATION REQQUIREMENNTS TThe most important conssideration whhen selectingg the location of air cooled conndensers is the provisionn for a supply off ambient aair to the ccondenser, and rremoval of tthe heated aair from the condenser ccoils ffor this puurpose SARAVEL reccommends the mminimum space requirrements illuustrated beelow. FFailure to addhere to thesse requiremeents will resuult in hhigher conddensing temperature whhich can caause uunsafe operaation of the ccondenser annd the possibble WALLS OOR OBSTRRUCTIONSS Units shouldd be located so that aair may circuulate freely and nnot be re cirrculated. For proper air flow and access all sides of tthe units must be a minimmum of 1.5 meterrs away fromm any wall or obstructionss it is MULTIPLEE UNITS INSTALLATIONN RECOMMENDDATIONNS For units plaaced side byy side, the mminimum distaance between unnits is 2.5 mm. if units arre placed ennd to end, the mminimum disttance betweeen units iss 2.5 meters. Fa ailure of the ccompressor. Units must not be located in the e vicinity of ssteam, hot aair, of fume exhausts. e Anoother im mportant connsideration iis that the unit shouldd be mo ounted awayy from noisee sensitive spaces s and must ha ave adequatee support too prevent vib bration and nnoise tra ansmission into the building .Units can be insttalled ov ver corridorss, utility areeas, rest ro ooms and oother au uxiliary areass where highh levels of sound s are noot an im mportant factoor. preferred tthat this disstance be longer whenever possible . Sufficient room sho ould be lefft for maintenancce work throuugh access doors d and paanels. Overhead oobstructions are not perm mitted.
UNITS IN PITS TThe top of thhe unit shouldd be level witth the top of the ppit , and sidee distance inccreased to 3 meter. If thee top oof the unit is not level with the top of tthe pit dischaarge FENCES & LOUVERRS INNSTALLLATION RECOM MMENDATIONSS FFences mustt have 50% ffree area , wwith a 30cm uunder ccut and 1.5mm minimum clearance , and it mustt not eexceed the toop of units. 220 Co ones or staccks must be used to raise discharge air to the top of thhe pit.
