Wire-wound, two sharp winding-thread pull-<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>fs,<br />

perforati<strong>on</strong> straight-sided. Nearly circular ring shape; o.d.<br />

4.0-4.2 mm, i.d. 2.0 mm, thickness 2.0-3.0 mm; weight<br />

0.1064 g. Purchased from a dealer, submitted for analysis<br />

• + 4092 En Bas Saline, near Cap Hatien, Haiti, fragment <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> "latticinio"<br />

glass. Colorless glass vessel wall with colorless glass<br />

rib c<strong>on</strong>taining white opaque (Sn02 ) threads, moderately<br />

weathered. <str<strong>on</strong>g>Excavated</str<strong>on</strong>g> by Kathleen Deagan at what might<br />

have been the locati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Navidad. EBS 1984/Unit 7.<br />

7162/FS #3771. Wall glass is n<strong>on</strong>-lead, but rib glass c<strong>on</strong>tains<br />

20.4% PbO. (Same as Pb-2220.)<br />

• + P 4691 <strong>San</strong> Salvador, br<strong>on</strong>ze "D-ring". Br<strong>on</strong>ze, with greenish gray<br />

corrosi<strong>on</strong> patina. Rounded with straight shank. Beveled<br />

corners formed by mold seams create diam<strong>on</strong>d-shape<br />

cross-secti<strong>on</strong>s in most parts; possibly finished by filing.<br />

Maximum diameter across rounded porti<strong>on</strong> 3.9 cm, length<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>straight shank 2.7 cm, thickness varies from 2.5-4.0 mm.<br />

(Same as Pb-1493.)<br />

• + p 4692 <strong>San</strong> Salvador, br<strong>on</strong>ze shoe (?) buckle. Br<strong>on</strong>ze with dark<br />

greenish gray corrosi<strong>on</strong> patina. Rounded with single<br />

straight overlapping shank and triangular slot. No keep<br />

attached, and no wear where it would have been attached<br />

at shank. Appears to have been molded and possibly finished<br />

by filing. Length across shank 2.0 cm. (Same as<br />

Pb-1492.)<br />

• + 4693 <strong>San</strong> Salvador, coin. Bill<strong>on</strong> blanca <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Henry IV <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Castile<br />

( 1454-74). Heavily corroded <strong>on</strong> all surfaces, original<br />

struck impressi<strong>on</strong>s barely legible in places, possibly deliberately<br />

defaced. Segment broken or snipped out before<br />

burial. (Same as Pb-1494.)<br />

4694 <strong>San</strong> Salvador, Indian pottery sherd. Rim fragment, reddishbrown,<br />

friable, coarse-textured ware with many white<br />

inclusi<strong>on</strong>s. N4 E6, 20-30 cm.<br />

4695 <strong>San</strong> Salvador, Indian pottery sherd. Similar to 4694.<br />
