A rainwater tank collects the water coming from the roof gutters. The tank will gradually fill up. As soon as it is full, the surplus water will overflow into the sewer or into a canal. It is important that the collected water is as clean as possible. Any leaves entering the tank will start to rot and cause an unpleasant smell. By installing a rainwater filter, the number of times the tank has to be cleaned, will greatly diminish. There are several possibilities to manage the distribution of the collected rainwater. 1) Fully automatic pump unit with a tank water level indicator: This pump unit is fully assembled and can be easily fixed on the wall. Following couplings should be made: • A suction hose from the tank to the unit • The connection to the city-water • An overflow from the city-water basin • A sensor probe for the water level measurement in the tank • Pressure connections to the different tabs or usage points If there is no rainwater in the tank, the probe will give a signal, followed by a switch of the electric valve, which will allow the city-water to flow into the pressure pipes. The electric valve will switch back once there is sufficient rainwater. At the read out you can check the water level in the tank. 2) Fully-automatic pump unit without a tank water level indicator, with auto-suction pump: This unit is identical to the first one. Instead of the probe, the unit is provided with a float and the tank water level cannot be read. 3) Jet 120: Low cost centrifugal pump, individual suction, stainless steel, light, long-lasting structure, used at home, in the garden, to be combined with non-explosive fluids. 4) Aspri 15-3: Centrifugal pump, to be placed inside the house, individual suction, dry flow security and control kit, manometer included, possible in combination with TEA and TEO. Quiet engine, protected against corrosion, individual suction, manometer, dryflow security and controlkit. 5) Pluvia 7-50: Submerged pump, to be placed inside a rainwatertank, possible in combination with TEA and TEO, extra wide foot, cable-eye for assembly of steel cable, 15 m steel cable included, floater and suction Twist, integrated pressure control. 6) TEA-3: System control with drinking water tank, to be used with a Pluvia or Aspri pump, internal drinking water supply, IRM control, self control system with drinking water floater, automatic control, manually or automatically convertible to drinking water, motor-controlled tap. TEO-3: Identical system as TEA-3, but it contains some extras: automatic change of water when low water level occurs, indication of the water level in the tank itself. 7) Economic pump unit: This unit is provided with a float in the tank, which indicates when there is enough rainwater available. The float is connected to a switch that opens the electric valve. This valve allows citywater to flow into a funnel, adding water to the rainwater tank. This unit can be used in an existing recycling system not yet connected to city-water or added to a new system using one of these pumps. nv BORALIT sa – Nijverheidslaan 12 – 9880 AALTER – BELGIUM – Tel+32(0)9 375 11 11 – Fax +32(0)9 375 22 22 Boralit@boralit.com - http://www.boralit.com - KBC 442-6625251-84 – H.R.
