Dear friends,
unfortunately this year the weather forecast doesn't seem to be on our side...we still hope they are
wrong!! But even when it rains we are absolutely sure that Salò and Lake Garda in general deserve
to be included amongst the most beautiful sites in Italy (and consequently in the whole world).
You'll probably think we are bias: it is true, but how could we not be when we are so lucky as to
live in such an enchanting place! We are very glad to share the magic of this area
and therefore we prepared a list of things worth doing in this period. It is clear that the surgeons will
have to attend the course, but their fortunate companions, besides enjoying the hotel pools
(should the weather allow it), will be able to spend their time scrolling around. Taken that every
little village by the lake is fascinating its own peculiar and exclusive way, with breathtaking
views, green environment and intriguing history, may be some more than others deserve a visit.
In Salò:
-the marvellous promenade
-the Cathedral
-the various museums, including that of the notorious "Repubblica di Salò"
-the fun Saturday morning open market (catch a glimps at the signature shoes and clothes
at very convenient prices)
-the wonderful downtown shops
Very close to Salò:
-Gardone Riviera (both the promenade along the lake and the upper village):
don't miss Piazzetta degli Angeli, the Vittoriale, home of the famous poet D'Annunzio
and the Botanical Garden
-Maderno with its promenade and the Romanical churc of S.Andrea
-Gargnano, Tignale and Tremosine: charming villages
-Limone, cute village with its intense jasmine scent
-San Felice, Moniga, Manerba, Soiano and Padenghe, with their castles, the harbours
and sanctuaries (Tuscany on Lake Garda)
-Puegnago: the lakes of Sovenigo, covered in lotus flowers in this season
-Polpenazze, where in these evenengs the ancient Garda wine fair is held
-Desenzano, known for its discos and clubs, shopping centers and the Roman <strong>Villa</strong>
-Sirmione, the pearl of the Lake

In Moniga: Al Porto

Gardaland, the most famous amusement park in Italy (on the other side of the lake) together
with the many water parks scattered everywhere.
Golf:
Soiano (Garda Golf), Bogliaco and Arzaga. In Cunettone you can find an easier and closer green.
