Wayside Theatre Artistic Director Warner<br />
Crocker today announced that Wayside Theatre<br />
received 6 awards for productions in 007. The<br />
Golden Chiquita Awards are presented each January<br />
by Culpeper Star-Exponent<br />
Maggie Lawrence, a member of<br />
the American Theatre Critics<br />
Association.<br />
According to Artistic Director,<br />
Warner Crocker said, “Wayside<br />
Theatre is excited to be included<br />
in these Awards with such<br />
other Northern Virginia, D.C.<br />
and Richmond theatres as The<br />
Shakespeare Theatre Company,<br />
Arena Stage, Signature Theatre,<br />
Folger Theatre and the Barksdale<br />
Theatre, Richmond. And<br />
we say Congratulations to all our<br />
winners for such great quality of<br />
work. It proves what I heard<br />
when I attend the two day D.C. area Equity Auditions<br />
from actors who have worked with us and<br />
actors who want to work with us, as well as other<br />
Artistic Directors that our artistic reputation is<br />
growing and spreading. Folks know we do good<br />
work. It is nice to have that recognized.”<br />

14th Street, on January 1,<br />

As of January , 008, authorities<br />
in Prince George’s<br />
<strong>County</strong>, Maryland, apprehended<br />
Samuel Eashan Milbourne,<br />
II, of 1 6 Clymer Avenue,<br />
Front Royal, Virginia,<br />
on warrants obtained by the<br />
Front Royal Police Department,<br />
without incident. Milbourne<br />
has been charged<br />
with two counts of felony<br />
robbery. The suspect will be<br />
held in Maryland pending an<br />
extradition hearing.<br />

announced at approximately<br />
:45 a.m. on January 1, 008,<br />
the Front Royal Police Department<br />
received a report of<br />
a robbery at the Texaco Fast<br />
Fare, located at 6 West 14th<br />
Street. Upon arrival, the witness<br />
to the robbery advised<br />
that the suspect entered in<br />
the store, walked up to the<br />
counter with merchandise,<br />
then ordered the clerk to<br />
hand over all monies in the<br />
register. No weapons were<br />
shown during the robbery.<br />
The suspect is described as<br />
a white male, appearing to be<br />
in his mid-thirties, weighting<br />
approximately 190 pounds,<br />
and being between 5’6” to<br />
5’8” with reddish bond short<br />
hair. He had a mustache with<br />

Two popular parks in <strong>Warren</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong> had an increase in visitors<br />
in 007.<br />
1 0,670 people entered<br />
Shenandoah River State Park in<br />
Bentonville, VA in 007, a 10%<br />
increase from the 118,578 who<br />
visited the area’s newest park in<br />
006. 7, 97 visitors enters the<br />
park in December 007, a more<br />
than 100% increase over the<br />

witness also stated that the<br />
suspect stuttered and spoke<br />
in a low voice. The suspect<br />
was wearing a camouflage<br />
jacket at the time of the incident.<br />
Upon leaving the premises,<br />
the suspect then fled<br />
on foot eastbound behind<br />
the store. Assistance was<br />
obtained from the <strong>Warren</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong> Sheriff’s Office. K-<br />
9 units were called in from<br />
Fauquier <strong>County</strong> Sheriff’s<br />
Office and Winchester City<br />
Police Department to assist<br />
with the search. Anyone<br />

which boasts the area’s most famous<br />
tourist attraction, Skyline<br />
Drive, had 1,118,188 visitors<br />
in 007, a .86% increase over<br />
the 006 total of 1,087,110. In<br />
December 007, 4, 98 people<br />
entered Skyline Drive through<br />
the park’s Front Royal entrance,<br />
down 41.49% from the 7, 45<br />
who visited the same month in<br />
006.
