Methodology :<br />
1. Screening <strong>of</strong> blood smears ( thick & thin ) for<br />
trypanosomes after staining them with<br />
Leishmans stain.<br />
2. Biological Test : Detection <strong>of</strong> trypanosomes<br />
in blood samples by inoculation in mice.<br />
3. Detection <strong>of</strong> antitrypanosomal antibodies in<br />
serum samples by IFA / ELISA or serum<br />
agglutination test.
