Student faces indecent exposure charge<br />

A UTB/TSC student has been arraigned<br />

on a charge <strong>of</strong> indecent exposure.<br />

Campus Police arrested Omar Rivera,<br />

19, in the early afternoon on April 7 after<br />

a student in the Science and Engineering<br />

Technology Building computer lab<br />

witnessed a table shaking and a student<br />

moving his arm.<br />

“[<strong>The</strong> disp<strong>at</strong>cher] said th<strong>at</strong> a student<br />

had reported to him th<strong>at</strong> she had seen a<br />

guy expose himself,” Campus Police Lt.<br />

Armando Pulido said. “She leaned over<br />

and saw th<strong>at</strong> his pants were down and his<br />

zipper was open and she was able to see.”<br />

Campus Police then questioned Rivera.<br />

“<strong>The</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficer made contact with him<br />

and he admitted to have been w<strong>at</strong>ching<br />

pornographic m<strong>at</strong>erials on the computer<br />

and got excited,” Pulido said.<br />

Cameron County Magistr<strong>at</strong>e P<strong>at</strong>ricia<br />

Edelstein arraigned Rivera on a charge <strong>of</strong><br />

indecent exposure, a class B misdemeanor.<br />

Edelstein set a $750 personal recognizance<br />

bond.<br />
