CENTENNIAL PRIZE FOR THE BEST THESIS IN MECHANICAL<br />
ENGINEERING<br />
Awarded each year to a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in<br />
mechanical engineering whose doctoral thesis is judged to be the most original<br />
and significant by a faculty committee appointed annually by the executive officer<br />
for mechanical engineering. The prize consists of a citation and a cash award<br />
of $1,000, and was established with gifts from alumni following the division’s<br />
centennial celebration in 2007.<br />

Awarded to a graduate student in hydrodynamics who has distinguished himself<br />
or herself in research in the Division of Engineering and Applied Science.<br />

DONALD S. CLARK MEMORIAL AWARD<br />
Awarded to two juniors in recognition of service to the campus community<br />
and academic excellence. Preference is given to students in the Division of<br />
Engineering and Applied Science and to those in Chemical Engineering.<br />
