EMERGENCY HOSPITALIZATION FEE<br />

The emergency hospitalization fcc, payable by each student at the<br />

beginning of each year, provides a certain amount of hospitalization<br />

:.lnd medical and surgical care in accordance with regulations prescribed<br />

by the Board of Trustees and administered by the Institute<br />

Physician and the Faculty Committee on Student Health (see pages<br />

80-82).<br />

ASSOCIATED STUDENT BODY FEE<br />

The Associated Student Body fee of $14.45 is payable by all undergraduate<br />

students. Of this fee $ 5.50 is used for the support of<br />

athletics, $3.00 is a subscription to the BIG T, and the remainder is<br />

budgeted by the Board of Directors of the Associated Student Body<br />

for other student activities. The subscription to the CALIFORNIA<br />

TECH, 55 cents a year, is collected from every undergraduate.<br />

GENERAL DEPOSIT<br />

Each student is required to make a general deposit of $25, to cover<br />

possible loss and/or damage of Institute property used in connection<br />

with his work in regular courses of study. Upon his graduation or<br />

withdrawal from the Institute, any remaining balance of the deposit<br />

will be refunded.<br />

STUDENT HOUSES<br />

Students in the Houses must supply their own blankets but bed<br />

linen and towels are furnished and laundered by the Institute.<br />

Application for rooms in the Student Houses may be made by<br />

addressing the Comptroller of the Institute (see page 74).
