Parentage P. ‘Amethyst’ (♀) × P. amethystina ‘Minas Gerais’ (♂)<br />

Description Stem round; flowers 9-10cm in diameter, no fragrance; petals<br />

and sepals pinkish-purple; corona filaments dark purple at base,<br />

blue at apex; leaves mostly 3-lobed, 8-12cm long; bracts 1-2cm;<br />

stipules 2-3cm; peduncle 7-12cm; petiole 2-4cm with 2-4<br />

glands. Flowering period mainly July - November, but<br />

sporadically throughout the year. Minimum temperature at least<br />

-6 o C. Name derives from Greek mythology.
