COUNTY’S ARTS EDUCATION
INITIATIVE MAKES GREAT STRIDES
Arts for All, the County’s 10-year initiative to return
meaningful, sequential arts education to all 80 County
school districts, has made great progress at its halfway
point. The Lancaster and Palmdale School Districts in
the Antelope Valley have confirmed participation in a
new technical assistance model that provides personalized
support for school districts to engage in a strategic
process for long term arts education planning.
The online arts education portal, www.LAArtsEd.org,
includes a searchable database of tools and resources
including examples of school district arts policies,
resources for strategic planning, and discussions that
can support and expand school commitment to systemic
arts education.
