<strong>ASIC</strong> <strong>Market</strong> <strong>Integrity</strong> <strong>Rules</strong> (<strong>Competition</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Exchange</strong> <strong>Market</strong>s) <strong>2011</strong> Chapter 1: Introduction<br />

(d) a circular or bullet<strong>in</strong> addressed to a class of persons and delivered or communicated by<br />

any means permitted under this Rule;<br />

(e) specific email by any method which identifies a person or person’s title as addressee<br />

and no notice of non-delivery has been received; or<br />

(f) broadcast email by any method which identifies the addressee and which, hav<strong>in</strong>g regard<br />

to all the relevant circumstances at the time, was as reliable as appropriate for the<br />

purposes for which the <strong>in</strong>formation was communicated.<br />

Part 1.4 Interpretation<br />

1.4.1 References to time<br />

Note: There is no penalty for this Rule.<br />

In these <strong>Rules</strong>, unless the contrary <strong>in</strong>tention appears, a reference to time is to the time <strong>in</strong><br />

Sydney, Australia.<br />

1.4.2 Words and expressions def<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> the Corporations Act<br />

Words and expressions def<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> the Act will, unless otherwise def<strong>in</strong>ed or specified <strong>in</strong> these<br />

<strong>Rules</strong> or the contrary <strong>in</strong>tention appears, have the same mean<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> these <strong>Rules</strong>.<br />

1.4.3 Def<strong>in</strong>itions<br />

In these <strong>Rules</strong>:<br />

Note: There is no penalty for this Rule.<br />

Act means the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).<br />

Anomalous Order means an Order for which the price is above the maximum or below the<br />

m<strong>in</strong>imum Anomalous Order Threshold for the relevant Equity <strong>Market</strong> Product.<br />

Anomalous Order Threshold means a threshold for an Equity <strong>Market</strong> Product determ<strong>in</strong>ed<br />

under subrule 2.1.1(1).<br />

<strong>ASIC</strong> means the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.<br />

ASX means ASX Limited (ACN 008 624 691).<br />

Best Available Bid, <strong>in</strong> relation to a Transaction, means the highest Pre-Trade Transparent<br />

Bid, for Equity <strong>Market</strong> Products <strong>in</strong> the same class as the Equity <strong>Market</strong> Products the subject<br />

of the Transaction, available across all Order Books at the time the Transaction is executed.<br />
