Tuesday of Each Week Miss Carol Louise Overmyer And Wayne L. Smith Are Married In Burr Oak Church of Cod Ceremony MHS. LESLIE E. SMITH Miss Carol Louise Overmyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Overmyer, Route 2, Culver, -became the bride of Leslie Eugene Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne L. Smith, Route 2, Zionsville, Ind., at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, July 23, at the Burr Oak Church of God. Rev. Robert Anderson, pastor of the Christian Church at Zionsville, officiated at the double ring ceremony before the altar which was decorated with seven-branch candelabra, palms, and baskets of white gladioli. White satin bows marked the pews. Paul White of Culver, organist, played the nuptial music and accompanied Mrs. Jean Banks, who sang, "One Hand, One Heart," "With This Ring," "At Dawning," and "Wedding Prayer." The bride was atltired in a white silk-face Peau de Solie gown with Alencon lace accents, styled with a fitted bodice featuring a baiteau sculptured neckline and 1 a c e motifs. The long sleeves came to bridal points and a controlled skirt ended in a chapel train. Her imported silk illusion veil was held by a crown of white silk organza petals, and she carried a cascade bouquet of •white roses, white etephamotds and ivy. Miss Judy Devonshire of Sumner, 111., was maid of honor and wore a gown of maise chiffon. The floor-length skirt ended in a full back panel and Dior sleeves and an empire waistline accented the Muted bodice. Bridesmaids, S'heryl Hohniau and Barbara Overmyer, sister of the bride, wore dresses identical in style to the honor attendant except their gowns were nile green. The at tendants carried bouquets of yellow roses, white daisies, and ivy. Miss Cindy Starkey of Indianapolis, cousin of the bridegroom, as flower girl was attired in maise chiffon matching in style the gowns of the other attendants. Ring bearer was Doug Starkey of Indianapolis, cousin of the bridegroom. Ronald Zeller of Shelbyville, served as best man; Jim Smith, brother of the bridegroom, and David Smitih of Lebanon, were groomsmen; and ushers were Tom Smith of Zionsville, cousin of the bridegroom, and Victor Staton of Argos, cousin of the bride. Candle lighters were Brent Smith, brother of the bridegroom, and Jay Anderson. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Overmyer chose a blue lace dress with white accessories, and wore a corsage of gardenias and yellow rosettes. The bridegroom's mother was attired in a brocade suit with white accessories and wore a coirsage of gardenias and pink rosettes. Following the wedding a reception for 250 guests was held at the Ea-gle Lodge. A six-tier wedding cake centered the table and assisting with the serving were Mrs. Burton Feece, of Plymouth, cousin of the bride; Mrs. Stanley Reinholt of Letters Ford, Mifs Bonnie Good, Mrs. Mary Hatten, Mrs. Ferris Zechiel, and Mrs. Lucille Bradley, all of Culver. Miss Beverly Donovan presided at the guest register and Miss Janice Neidlinger and Miiss Martha McAllister were in charge of the gifts. Guests attending were from South Bend, Plymouth, Argos, Shelbyville, Lebanon, Zionsville.
