X No. 3 Allegro Cantabile Allegro spirituoso Peter-Lukas Graf Peter-Lukas Graf is nowadays the doyen of internationally well-known flutists. He received the title doctor honoris causa by the Music Academy of Cracow (Poland). From the Italian FALAUT Association he received the premio di carriera flauto d’oro. The USA National Flute Association honoured him with a Lifetime Achievement Award. His flute-teachers were André Jaunet in Zurich and Marcel Moyse and Roger Cortet in Paris. At the Conservatoire National he earned a first prize for flute as well as a diploma in the class for conductors of Eugène Bigot. Peter-Lukas Graf began his career as a principal flutist of the Winterhur Symphony Orchestra and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra. At the age of 21, his recording of Ibert’s Flute Concerto earned him immediate and overwhelming international recognition. For over a decade he was active principally as an opera and symphony conductor. Later he was appointed professor at the Basle Music Academy Peter-Lukas Graf currently lives in Basle. He combines an international career as flute soloist and guest conductor of symphony and chamber orchestras. He regularly holds master-classes through out the world and is juror at the most prestigious music competitions Peter-Lukas Graf has published three didactic works for SCHOTT (Checkup, Interpretation, The Singing Flute). The majority of his numerous recordings has been released by CLAVES Records. (www.peterlukasgraf.ch) Ensemble Kosovo Philharmony Soloist For the purpose of increasing the quality of interpretation and affirmation of soloist, the Kosovo Philharmony kas taken the initiative to create a new ensemble – Kosovo Philharmony Soloists. The format of this chamber ensemble, consisting of distinguished soloist from the orchestra, will depend on the program. The ensemble will perform in accordance to the yearly planned activities of the Kosovo Philharmony, supported by the Ministry of Culture. The aim is to promote highest possible quality of interpretation (artistic and professional) of music works written by national and world composers, covering the wider range of stylistic periods-starting from Baroque until the contemporary music works.
