Simulation. He was the pianist for the Hundredth Monkey Ensemble from 2000 to 2003,<br />

and was a soloist for the Siskiyou Community Orchestra in 1994. He was a member <strong>of</strong> the<br />

theory and composition faculty at the University <strong>of</strong> New Mexico from 2003 to 2009.<br />

LILY MAASE<br />

Lily Maase is a multi-disciplinary artist working at the<br />

convergence <strong>of</strong> contemporary composition and industrial<br />

space. A firm believer in life as performance research,<br />

she is fascinated with the lived experience as it interacts<br />

with the vagaries <strong>of</strong> memory and emotion, as well as<br />

the ways in which organic music can co-exist with new<br />

digital art forms. The musical director, guitarist, and<br />

sole composer for the Suite Unraveling, a Brooklynbased<br />

performance art initiative combining elements <strong>of</strong><br />

songwriting, improvised film, and avant-garde jazz, Maase<br />

is also creative director <strong>of</strong> the Addtract Consortium, a Brooklyn-based production initiative<br />

dedicated to exploring the nexus between the creative process as personal actualization<br />

and performance media as a community action.<br />

PATRICIA ANN REPAR<br />

Patricia Ann Repar is a composer <strong>of</strong> contemporary<br />

chamber music and electronic soundscapes; narratives told<br />

through sound, gesture, and image; original instruments<br />

and vocal improvisatory structures; video documentaries<br />

and recorded oral histories; installations in medical<br />

environments and site-specific work; performance<br />

experiments in health education. Repar has been featured<br />

as a guest composer, performer, and educator throughout<br />

the United States and Canada as well as in parts <strong>of</strong><br />

the United Kingdom, South America, Eastern Europe,<br />

Africa, and Australia. As an assistant pr<strong>of</strong>essor in the departments <strong>of</strong> Music and Internal<br />

Medicine (section <strong>of</strong> Integrative Medicine) at The University <strong>of</strong> New Mexico, Dr. Repar<br />

teaches composition, computer applications in music, and arts-in-medicine. She founded<br />

and currently directs Arts-in-Medicine at UNM which is an internationally recognized<br />

program <strong>of</strong> clinical service, education, community outreach, and international exchange.<br />

Sometimes referred to as a ‘living installation’ the program includes musicians, dancers,<br />

writers, visual artists and body workers who engage patients, their families, and medical<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essionals throughout UNM Hospitals in creative encounters <strong>of</strong> a rejuvenating,<br />
