The California Federation made <strong>the</strong> following<br />
report on <strong>the</strong>se collecting areas:<br />
Cerro Gordo Mine—-tine steep 14 percent<br />
grade road to <strong>the</strong> mini; has been surfaced<br />
with loose gravel: only four-wheel drive<br />
vehicles can reach <strong>the</strong> mine. Imperial<br />
County CaScite Mine—a heavy storm has<br />
completely washed out <strong>the</strong> road and it is<br />
doubtful thai even jeeps can drive within<br />
two or three miles <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> mine.—The Sphere<br />

The Texas Federation <strong>of</strong> Mineral Societies<br />
will hold its annual convention and<br />
show May 3, 4 and 5 at <strong>the</strong> Bexar County<br />
Coliseum, San Antonio, Texas. The San<br />
Antonio Rock and Lapidary Society is <strong>the</strong><br />
host club. The show will be held in <strong>the</strong><br />
exposition building on <strong>the</strong> Coliseum grounds,<br />
and its <strong>the</strong>me is "A Rock Hound's Show—<br />
By Rock Hounds—For Rock Hounds." Exhibitors<br />
