AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE WEARING OF ABBREVIATED<br />
BATHING ROBES UPON THE PUBLIC HIGHWAYS OF THI1 CITY,<br />
The Board <strong>of</strong> Commitiionera <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ocean</strong> <strong>City</strong> d© Ordain:<br />
Sec, 1* That it ghall b§ unlawful for any person or persons to travel<br />
in or upon any <strong>of</strong> the atreetaf alleyi, publie boardwalk, or highways <strong>of</strong><br />
the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ocean</strong> <strong>City</strong>, in abbreviated bathing robes, suits <strong>of</strong> other<br />
costumes <strong>of</strong> a similar nature unless a suitable robe or covering 1 ! from the<br />
ghouiders to the knees, shall be worn over said abbreviated robes or<br />
suits, to properly cover such person from public view.<br />
Sec, 2, That any person or persons who ihall violate any <strong>of</strong> the provisions<br />
<strong>of</strong> thin Ordinance, shall upon conviction there<strong>of</strong> before a proper<br />
<strong>of</strong>ficer having jurisdiction,, be subjected to a fine in any sum not exceeding-<br />
one hundred ($100,00) dollars at the discretion <strong>of</strong> such <strong>of</strong>ficer<br />
before whom said person or persona may be tried, and in default Of<br />
payment <strong>of</strong> gaid fine, be imprisoned in the <strong>City</strong> or County jail for a<br />
term not exceeding thirty days at the discretion <strong>of</strong> said <strong>of</strong>ficer, and any<br />
repetition <strong>of</strong> any act therein prohibited on any day following such conviction<br />
shall be deemed a new <strong>of</strong>fense.<br />
Sec* 8, That this Ordinance shall take effect at the expiration <strong>of</strong> ten<br />
days from its final passage.<br />
