Many people don’t know there’s
actually a dierence between the two.
(For the longest time, I did not either)
One is a lie masquerading as a fairy
tale whilst the other is rewarding and
yet laborious. It is because of this lack
of knowledge that: many good girls
fall prey to the ‘players/bad boys’ and
their theatrics and the ‘good guys’ are
left with broken hearts and a bitter
taste in their mouths after boShelly
are done with them. So, for once in
my life, I’m going to be that Good
Samaritan at no benet to me, ell oh
ell, and separate the two to enlighten
the lost and broken hearted souls.
Now dating is what the players want.
It is when two people are involved
romantically. What renders this union
‘romantic’ beats me, no one I’ve dated
has ever done anything romantic for
me but yes, that’s what dating is. This
is why people who are dating will go
for movies, dinner and just have fun.
Along with it being a romantic union,
dating is all about getting to know
each other, sometimes in the hopes of
going into a relationship. That’s it, it
ends there. You can date someone
and not be exclusive with them i.e.
see other people BUT this must be
made clear to the other person and
that there are no ties.
A relationship, what the good girls
and boys want, on the other hand is
something that is entirely dierent.
The general idea of a relationship is
that two people are romantically
involved with the idea of commitment.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, the C
word. With a relationship comes
exclusivity, commitment, being there
for each other, helping each other to
grow as individuals. You ght, love,
have fun and become best friends
because this person shares a part of
themselves with you.
So be sure that the other person
wants a relationship too, dene your
relationship or risk being in it alone
with your partner thinking you are
just dating.
