Part 1 of A World Catalogue of Chir<strong>on</strong>omidae (Diptera) is expected to be published in December 2009. A<br />

quote from the publisher has now been received and the price for each copy has now been fixed at Euro<br />

42 to which the relevant amount of postage must be added. The number of pages will be approximately<br />

370-400 and the volume will weigh about 1.3 to 1.4 kg. It is possible therefore to estimate the postage<br />

cost (Airmail <strong>on</strong>ly) to anywhere in the world. The total cost of a copy plus postage and packing can be<br />

determined from the table given below.<br />

The Catalogue is being published by The Irish Biogeographical Society in associati<strong>on</strong> with The Nati<strong>on</strong>al<br />

Museum of Ireland.<br />

Once the Catalogue is published and available for sale it will be announced <strong>on</strong> the website of The Irish<br />

Biogeographical Society: http://www.irishbiogeographicalsociety.com/<br />

The Bank which handles The Irish Biogeographical Society account will be c<strong>on</strong>sulted to determine the<br />

easiest and cheapest method for receiving payment from abroad – this informati<strong>on</strong> will be included <strong>on</strong> the<br />

website when the Catalogue is published. M<strong>on</strong>ey received from the sale of Part 1 will be used to help pay<br />

some of the cost of Part 2.<br />
