TAKA HYUNG 1<br />

1. Facing north, begin at attention position and bow.<br />

2. Move your left foot into a ready position (shoulder width).<br />

3. Step to your left into a left front stance (facing west) and left low block against a<br />

low kick.<br />

4. March into a right forward stance and right front punch to your opponent's<br />

sternum.<br />

5. Look over your right shoulder and pivot 180° in that direction on your left foot into<br />

a right front stance (facing east) and right low block against a low kick.<br />

6. March into a left forward stance and left front punch to your opponent's sternum.<br />

7. Look over your left shoulder and pivot 90° in that direction on your right foot into<br />

a left front stance (facing north) and left low block against a low kick.<br />

8. March into a right front stance and right front punch.<br />

9. March into a left front stance and left front punch.<br />

3. <strong>Do</strong>uble punch beginning with the left hand (leave the right fist out).<br />

4. March into a left forward stance and double punch.<br />

5. March into a right forward stance and double punch.<br />

6. Retreat back into a right back stance.<br />

7. Pivot counterclockwise on the right foot, 270 degrees, into a straddle stance<br />

facing west.<br />

8. March into a narrow left front stance, punch block with the left fist and block with<br />

the right arm.<br />

9. Left side sudo towards west.<br />

10. March into a narrow right forward stance and right side sudo.<br />

11. Pivot 90 degrees counterclockwise on the right foot and double sudo, first right<br />

then left.<br />

12. March into a left forward stance, sweep with the left hand, then punch block with<br />

the right and block in front of the body with the left.<br />

13. March into a right forward stance and right overhand sudo.<br />

PYANG II<br />

1. Attention and bow.<br />

2. Move the left foot into a ready position.<br />

3. Right middle inward block (sudo hand), turning body.<br />

4. Right side punch in straddle stance.<br />

5. Right marching front kick.<br />

6. Left marching side thrust kick, come down in a straddle stance facing north.<br />

7-10. Repeat steps 3 to 6 on the opposite side, ending in a straddle stance facing<br />

north.<br />

11. March into a left forward stance and left middle outward block (sudo hand).<br />

12. Right double punch.<br />

13. March into a right forward stance and right roundhouse elbow.<br />

14. Step behind with the left foot and right double backfist, first low, then high.<br />

15. Pivot 90 degrees into a. left forward stance facing east and right elbow into the<br />

left palm.<br />

16. Marching right front kick, round kick (same leg). Come down in a left forward<br />

stance facing west.<br />

17. Right hook kick, come down in a right side stance facing west and right side<br />

3. Pivot into a narrow left forward stance facing west.<br />

4. March into a narrow right forward stance and side punch.<br />

5. Marching left front kick towards west, pivot on right leg into a right forward stance<br />

facing east.<br />

6. March into a narrow left forward stance and left side punch towards east.<br />

7. Marching right front kick, come down in a ready position facing north.<br />

8-12. Repeat steps 3 to 7 on the opposite side. End up in a ready position facing north.<br />

13. March into a left forward stance, sweep with the left hand, reverse punch with the<br />

right. The left hand ends up blocking in front of the face.<br />

14. Marching right front kick.<br />

PUNJUNG 1<br />

1. Attention and Bow.<br />

2. Move left foot into straddle stance and bring both hands up in front of the body<br />

and breath.<br />

3. Exhale, and low sudo block to each side<br />

4. Moving at a 45° angle to the left, cross step with the right foot and cross hands in<br />

front of body, left on top of right, wrists broken and hands pointing downward.<br />

5. Left side kick and fall into a left side sudo in a narrow front stance.<br />

6. March to narrow right front stance and right side punch.<br />

7. Pivot on balls of feet to a left front stance, sweep right arm in front of body, left<br />

hand comes up to right shoulder, then shift back to right stance with a right elbow<br />

and left palm strike.<br />

8. Shift to left stance and right groin grab, shift back to right stance and pull.<br />

9. Sweep with left hand as you turn the right hip back and then right punch at<br />

opponent in front of you.<br />

10. Four punches, then hands come hack to center of body.<br />

11. Breathing, two low, two high.<br />

12. Pivot on right foot 90° counterclockwise and soft sudo block to the left with both<br />

hands, then to the right, and again to the left.<br />

13. March into a narrow right front stance and right nado.<br />

14. Sweep and turn right hip back (fist on hip) and punch down over right knee.<br />

15. Sweep with the right hand as you turn your left hip back and punch down over<br />

the left knee.<br />

16. Sweep with the left as you turn your right hip back and punch to the center<br />

directly in front of you. Left hand comes up on top of the right arm.<br />

17. Hit straight out with the left palm and elbow directly behind you with the right<br />

elbow. Palm and elbow are hitting along the same line.<br />

18. As your left hand makes a small circle counterclockwise, move your left foot in to<br />

the right foot and then straight out into a left front stance.<br />

19. Push.<br />

20 Step through with the right foot into a straddle stance and right hand circle grab.<br />

21. Pull the opponent in and left cross body punch and then right iron fist.<br />

22. Pivot on the left foot 90° counterclockwise and double backfist (right then left) at<br />

targets directly beside you.<br />

23. Hands come down in front of your chest and double elbow directly to the side.<br />

24. Hands come back together at chest in fists, palm upward, then double punch<br />

high and double punch low (fists are held together).<br />

25. Pivot on the left foot 135° counterclockwise and march into a right front stance<br />

and double push.<br />

26. Shift into a straddle stance and double side punch.<br />

27. Bring left foot up to right at attention position, hands come up in front of body and<br />

breath.<br />

PUNJUNG 3<br />

1. Ready position — left fist in right palm held at chest level.<br />

2. Push hands down in front and move left foot out to ready position.<br />

3. Hands go up above head as knees bend.<br />

4. Looking to the left and going to the left, cross step in front with the foot as the<br />

hands circle down to waist level and come up in front of the chest in an X-block.<br />

5. Turning the body to the right, step out with the left foot to the left and right middle<br />

inward block turning the body to the left.<br />

6 Shift to a straddle stance facing front and left. High block.<br />

7. Six punches.<br />

8. Turning the body all the way to the right, left hook block.<br />

9. Move left foot up to right into a cat stance, bringing arms up above the head.<br />

Arms form a rectangle over the head with the left fist into the right palm.<br />

10. Step out to the top of the form into a left front stance and push the arms down<br />

over the head and all the way around to the left hip, looking over the left<br />

shoulder.<br />

11. Pivot 180° clockwise into a right front stance and bring the arms back over the<br />

head.<br />

12. Right backfist straight down and then backfist up by right shoulder, backfist down<br />

to the side and right backfist down to the side.<br />

13. Look over the right shoulder and right back kick, come down in a cat stance and<br />

double backfist first low then high (you are now facing the front of the form).<br />

14. Step out to the left into a left front stance and left high block.<br />

15. Pivot 180° clockwise and right high block.<br />

16. Shift to a straddle stance facing front and left high block then four punches.<br />

17. Extend right hand sideways at shoulder height and left sweep kick into right<br />

palm, come down on the same line and then right sweep kick into right palm<br />

(going from inside to outside)<br />

18. Pivot and come down in a straddle stance facing the back of the fo:rm, right hand<br />

remains extended, then pivot 180° counterclockwise to face the front of the form<br />

and high X-block.<br />

19. Step back with the left foot and double down block to each side.<br />

20. Turn the body all the way to the right and then step forward into a left front stance<br />

and right middle inward block.<br />

21. Shift to a straddle stance facing to the right of the form and left high block.<br />

22. Four punches.<br />

23. Move the left foot in to the right foot and then drop it back and high X-block.<br />

24. <strong>Do</strong>uble down block to each side.<br />

25. Bring left foot up to the right foot to attention position and bow.<br />

GINTOE<br />

1. Attention and bow facing North.<br />

2. Ready position — hands together in front of groin, thumbs locked.<br />

3. Break the knees and lower the body, hands rise above the head.<br />

4. Slowly step out with the left foot, and slowly pull the hands apart.<br />

5. Sharply pull the hands apart to shoulder width.<br />

6. Drop left hand in front of left groin and right backfist into left palm, upper body<br />

bent over.<br />

7. <strong>Do</strong>uble sudo block to left, double sudo block to right.<br />

8. Right sweep, left sweep, right punch and right middle outward block turning body<br />

into the block.<br />

9. Left punch and left middle outward block, turning body into block.<br />

10. Look behind over right shoulder, hands down to left hip, step with left foot around<br />

right foot and right side snap kick. Leg comes back to the ready position, hands<br />

on right hip, step back into left back stance and double sudo block to North.<br />

11. March double sudo block in a back stance.<br />

12. March double sudo block in a back stance.<br />

13.. March spear hand.<br />

14. Pivot on right foot to face West and right groin grab in front of left knee.<br />

15. Step down into straddle stance and double side block (right high outward block<br />

and left down block).<br />

16. Pivot on left foot to face North in a right back stance and double side block (left<br />

high and right down).<br />

17. March left round kick, march right front kick, bring foot back to ready position,<br />

then pivot on left foot to face West and step down to straddle stance and double<br />

side block.<br />

18. Draw the left foot up to right foot at attention position facing South, hands on right<br />

hip in fists, left on top of right.<br />

19. Look to left and left side kick and side punch, foot back to ready position, punch<br />

stays out. Step into left front stacne and right elbow into left palm.<br />

20. Repeat 18 and 19 on opposite side.<br />

21. High-low double sudo block (right hand high, left hand low facing West).<br />

22. Pivot to face South and double sudo strike.<br />

23. Pivot on left foot to face right and right groin grab with right knee up, step into<br />

straddle stance and double side block (right hand high, left hand low).<br />

24. Repeat 16 through 22, ending in double sudo strike facing North.<br />

25. March front kick and step behind backfist, supporting right elbow with left fingers<br />

(facing North).<br />

26. Pivot on left foot 180° counterclockwise to face South, bring right knee up and<br />

break over knee (right hand in fist, left hand in sudo).<br />

27. Drop into LOW right front stance, and low sudo block to each side.<br />

28. Pivot on right foot 180° counterclockwise into LOW left back stance and double<br />

sudo block (flying side kick block).<br />

30. Left stutter step, and move back to right back stance and right middle outward<br />

31. Pivot on right fot 180° counterclockwise into straddle stance and double iron fist,<br />

then hop double iron fist.<br />

32. Shift Into left front stance and right elbow into left palm, grab above head and—<br />

33. Pivot on right foot 180° clockwise into right front stance and pull hands down.<br />

34. <strong>Do</strong>uble jumping front kick and right roll over back fist, supporting right elbow with<br />

left hand.<br />

35. Turn on right foot up to ready position, hands break to sides and bow.<br />

Variation: Instead of the kicks in steps 16 and 17, two jumping groin grabs may be<br />
