You can call the DPS office that you plan to visit and request a reasonable accommodation due<br />

I cannot leave my home due to my disability. Can I still receive a driver’s<br />

license or identification card?<br />

You can apply for and receive an identification card without leav<strong>in</strong>g your home if your disability<br />

prevents you from apply<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> person. A DPS program called “Homebound” provides the<br />

necessary services, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g hav<strong>in</strong>g your photograph taken <strong>in</strong> your home.<br />

The Homebound program is not available for driver’s licenses.<br />

To request services through the Homebound program, fill out this onl<strong>in</strong>e form available through<br />

DPS, <strong>in</strong>dicat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the “questions” field that you are request<strong>in</strong>g Homebound services: Question<br />
