• Same plasma physics if ρ* = ρ/a, ν∗ = ν c / ν b <strong>and</strong> β are equal<br />

Requires BR 5/4 to be equal to that of a fusion plasma<br />

Study Physics of Burning <strong>Plasma</strong>s (alpha confinement, self heating, etc)<br />

• Alpha particle confinement requires Ip(R/a) ≥ 9, Ip(R/a) ~ BR(R/a)<br />

• Alpha heating dominant, f α = P α /P heat = Q/(Q+5) > 0.5<br />

f α = nτ ET / (nτ ET) Ignition for P α >> P brem<br />

nτ ET = B x function(ρ*, ν∗, β) in general<br />
