4.2.1.3.3. (Real-World) Activity – MOVE as SCU
4.2.1.3.3.1. Description and Sequencing of Activities
The RWA Move Remote Images involves the retrieve of images on a remote system by moving (copying) the matching images from
the remote database to another database.
The operator is able to copy the selected images in a patient folder from a remote database to another, local or remote, database by
means of the copy tool in the DICOM Manager data handling facility. The DICOM Manager initiates for each copy request an
association to the selected peer entity (Remote AE) and uses it to send the Retrieve (C-MOVE) request (and receive the associated
responses). The association is released after the final Retrieve (C-MOVE) response for the related request has been received with
the status success / failure.
