Our Foundation. We’re founding partners
of The Travel Corporation Conservation
Foundation – a not for profit foundation.
So far the Foundation has committed over US$2 million to help underprivileged
communities & support sustainable tourism around the world.
Since the Foundation commenced in 2008, it has;
– Helped to protect over 3 million hectares of Atlantic Forest in Brazil
– Supported indigenous sustainable tourism in The Kimberley, Australia
– Supported the construction of 3 conservation wildlife research
camps in Northern Botswana
– Helped develop sustainable tourism practices as a primary
sponsor for the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards
We’re committed to helping preserve our
natural environment for the future. Recently, we
partnered with Tourism Cares (a not-for-profit
organisation who arrange volunteer efforts to
restore tourism-related sites) to assist with their
Grand Canyon preservation project. As part
of Grand Canyon Conservation Day, 20 of our
team assisted in restoring native vegetation in a
section of the National Park in an effort to help
rejuvenate this amazing site (pictured right).
