VSCC Spring Start By Simon & Janet Wright with additional photos by Pete Austin and Mick Herring. The UK vintage racing season got off to a start at Silverstone on Saturday 21 st April 2012 as the Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) held their Spring Start meeting. With 11 races round the National circuit, and good entries for all the races, the action came thick and fast. The first ‘race’ was a 30 minute Regularity trial for Pre- Pre War cars Handicap 2 © Pete Austin war Sports Cars. This event is not a traditional race but a race against the clock. Each driver is given a set number of laps to complete in the 30 minutes depending on the age and engine size of the car. They also have to complete a pit stop where they must change a spark plug.
