Comedian Klein Success at SB;<br />
Bridge to Nowhere Best Joke<br />

The only time the audience booed<br />
comedian Robert Klein last night was<br />
when lie came out with the line,<br />
"Stony Brook is a peat school. tt The<br />
crowd of 700 which gathered in the<br />
Union ballroom frit that he had<br />
obviously not been on the campus foi<br />
very long.<br />
Klein started his performance by<br />
talking about his previous experience<br />
in the local area. Although h*<br />
had been at Stony Brook before, he<br />
bad appeared at Suffolk Community<br />
College, the Gnaried Hollow Inn. and<br />
at a benefit performance that attracted<br />
four people and helped to '^raise<br />
enough money to buy a can of beans<br />
and a large can of salmon.^<br />
He touched upon his early life in<br />
tile Bronx, which raised cheers from<br />
various parts of the audience. In fact,<br />
any time he mentioned any local<br />
town, some person in the audience<br />
