Adjunct Professor Klari B. Tedrow<br />

Adjunct Professor Klari B. Tedrow ’89 of Tedrow & Myers Immigration Law Group was elected chapter chair of the<br />

Georgia-Alabama Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.<br />

Professor Woodrow Hartzog<br />

On September 24th, Professor Hartzog was quoted in a Forbes article entitled “Facebook Stops Asking Users To<br />

‘Snitch’ On Friends With Fake Names.” This article can be found online at this link:<br />

Judge Gary Pate<br />

Judge Gary Pate ’76, an adjunct professor, just returned from 18 days at the Paralympics in London. He is on staff<br />

with USA Wheelchair Rugby, in addition to being President of the United States QuadRugby Association. The<br />

USA team won Bronze. While in England, he visited with former <strong>University</strong> of Norwich and Cumberland students<br />

Antony Greenwood and Stephanie Hawkins.<br />

Michael V. Rasmussen<br />

Michael V. Rasmussen ’75 has been named 2012 Lawyer of the Year by the Birmingham Legal Professional Association.<br />

Mr. Rasmussen was nominated by his assistant Debra Rasmussen, for his many civic accomplishments and<br />

dedication to his profession and community. Mr. Rasmussen graduated from the <strong>University</strong> of South Florida and the<br />

Cumberland School of Law.<br />

Mr. Rasmussen’s legal practice evolved from being a legal officer aboard a naval warship during the Vietnam War for<br />

one year, to being a state prosecutor for two years, to being a federal prosecutor for 27 years, to representing criminal<br />

defendants in complex and simple cases primarily in federal court for the past 8 years. Parallel to this practice has<br />

been a 25 year career as an adjunct professor of law at Cumberland School of Law, where he has taught trial advocacy,<br />

evidence and criminal procedure. He has coached mock trial teams to numerous regional and national championships.<br />

Women in Law’s 2012 Race for the Cure Team<br />

Women in Law would like to invite you to join the 2012 Race for the Cure Team. This year's event is<br />

on Saturday, October 20, at Linn Park. Members from Women in Law will be sitting in the breezeway<br />

this week to collect donations for their team's Race for the Cure fund-raising efforts, as well as<br />
