Free Library of Philadelphia Underground Newspaper Microfilm Collection
Wherever possible we have given four pieces of information about each title:
1. The volume number.
2. The issue number (Occasionally the whole issue number if it is more consistent or the only one given).
3. The inclusive dates (Weekly or bi-weekly publications which use a starting and ending date, are referenced only by the starting date).
4. The microfilm reel and item number where the title will be found.
The use of the hyphen “-“ in the issue number means “through”.
HOW TO USE THIS LISTING
The use of the parenthesis “()” indicates the additions of information that we believe to be correct.
The use of the question mark “?” in conjunction with the parenthesis indicates that we added information where none was available, based on our best estimate of the facts.
Titles which we believe to be abbreviations of longer names are filed at the start of each letter.
References such as “Former Title” or “Title Changed to” are an indication to the user that additional information will be found under the old title and/or the new title.
