Visual 3.11
Visual Description: How do you ensure that the delegating authority remains an active part of the
incident response?
Instructor Notes
Tell the participants that the final responsibility for the resolution on the incident remains with the
chief elected official, chief executive officer, or agency administrator. It is imperative then that
the chief elected official, chief executive officer, or agency administrator remain an active
participant, supporter, supervisor, and evaluator of the Incident Commander.
Ask the participants: How do you ensure that the delegating authority remains an active
part of the incident response?
Facilitate a discussion among the participants. Add any advice you may have based on your
past experiences.
