Tension Assemblies Anchor Shackle Clevis Thimble OPGW Cable PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The Tension Assembly consists of a reinforcing rod set, a helical wire dead-end and a clevis thimble, connecting the OPGW cable and the tower. The OPGW is protected by the reinforcing rods and the mechanical load is taken by the dead-end and transferred to the tower. PRODUCT APPLICATION Tension Assemblies are designed for use with OPGW cable at termination, section, angle and joint tower positions. They will hold up to 95% of the OPGW RTS and maintain optical integrity over the operating load range.
