Danby Community Council
Needs Your Ideas!
Submitted by Amanda Walts
All year long, the DCC is quietly hard at work helping
to coordinate such things as youth programs, grants
for area classes/camps/programs for local kids, music
at Fun Day, concerts, special programs, and so much
more!
is is an exciting time at the DCC as many new ideas
are brewing about how to make Danby an even more
lovely place to call home. And we want to hear from
you! Next month in the Danby News, there will be
survey asking for ideas about what types of programs,
events, activities, etc. you would like to see happening.
Please take the time to complete it. ank you in advance
and stay tuned for times and dates for community
meetings about the same topic.
Youth Programs: Correction
In my article on youth programs last month, I neglected
to mention an important funding source for
our Danby Youth Programs: Tompkins County. e
County contributes close to a third of the DCC’s annual
youth programming budget. I apologize for the
omission. —Julie Clougherty.
