Young shooters are more likely to become stewards of the shooting<br />

our standard, premium-grade stocks with a shorter length of pull, then fit<br />
them to some of our finest firearms. Adults requiring a shorter length of<br />
pull will also benefit from this lineup. Rifles fe<strong>at</strong>ure 20" barrels and youth<br />
shotguns have 21" barrels (20" for deer gun).<br />
The Model 770 youth is the ultim<strong>at</strong>e first centerfire. The next gener<strong>at</strong>ion<br />
of the hunt-ready Model 710, it’s chambered for the mild-recoiling 243 Win.<br />
and comes out of the box with a pre-mounted, boresighted 3-9x40mm scope.<br />
Other centerfires include our workhorse, short-action Model 700 SPS<br />
youth Synthetic. Now in a left-handed version chambered for 243 Win<br />
and 7mm-08 Rem, it’s the first-ever southpaw youth rifle offering. Our<br />
new Managed Recoil 7mm-08 Rem ammunition is the perfect complement<br />

In shotguns, we have the 20-gauge Model 870 express ® Jr. and<br />

stocks and fore-ends. And we still offer the Model 870 express youth line,<br />
Model 870 express Jr. and a Model 870 express Synthetic youth Combo<br />
fe<strong>at</strong>uring a 21" vent-rib barrel and a 20" fully rifled barrel. All Jr. offerings<br />
have a 1" shorter length of pull than standard Youth models. The gas-oper<strong>at</strong>ed<br />
action of the 20-gauge Model 11-87 Sportsman youth makes it the<br />
ultim<strong>at</strong>e light-recoiling youth shotgun.<br />
Our Model Five youth rimfire completes the lineup with superior<br />
accuracy and a simple, rugged design th<strong>at</strong> make it a gre<strong>at</strong> first rifle. It<br />
has a shortened stock and fore-end, a world-class hammer-forged barrel<br />
shortened to 16 1 /2" and fully adjustable rifle sights.
