My condolences to Dee and their children
The communications and the radio amateur were poorer.
Roger left us but me and my generation will never forget him,
because it was him that opened us the doors of the digital communications
with his amazing software.

To the entire Barker family I feel for your loss having been through it myself on
May 27th with the passing of my Father, also from Cancer. The coming months
will be difficult, some days better than others and as time goes on it may even
get worse than better but eventually people learn to cope and deal with the
loss. It is a long and difficult road that my family is still dealing with but we are
at a point now that the better days are out numbering the bad. Hopefully soon
your family will reach that point also.

Dear Dee Kate and Steven.
On behalf of the Chairman, Committee and Members of the Norfolk Amateur
Radio Club, I send you sincere condolences and sympathy at this sad time of
bereavement following the loss of Roger.
He was a well respected member of the Amateur Radio Community who helped
many amateurs to find a new belief in the hobby at times when interest was
flagging.
In particular his software contributions to the hobby opened many new facets of
the hobby to members old and new.
His lasting legacy will be the Winpack, APRS and UIView programs he so
generously made available to all, and which contribute so much to packet and
emergency radio useage.
He will be sadly missed by us here in Norfolk.
