shrugged off some bad news<br />

earlier in <strong>the</strong> week to beat previously<br />

unbeaten Lansing<br />

Community College on Friday<br />

night, 98-82.<br />

The visiting Ocelots got 18<br />

points apiece from Jarred<br />

Axon and Ryan Williams to<br />

hand <strong>the</strong> NJCAXs No. 4ranked<br />

team in Division II its<br />

first setback in 10 games.<br />

Seven-footer James Davis<br />

and 6-7 DeMario Curry<br />

chipped in with 17 and 15<br />

points, respectively, for <strong>the</strong><br />

Ocelots, who led 52-36 at)J.alftime.<br />

Schoolcraft got off to a 20-4<br />

lead during <strong>the</strong> first five minutes<br />

of play. The Stars cut <strong>the</strong><br />

deficit to six with just under six<br />

The Motor City Mechanics of<br />

<strong>the</strong> United Hockey League<br />

(UHL) announce that <strong>the</strong>y<br />

have lowered ticket prices for<br />

<strong>the</strong> remainder of <strong>the</strong> season.<br />

The reorganization comes<br />

after changing ticket prices<br />

throughout <strong>the</strong> month of<br />

December and noticing a welcome<br />

change in attendance.<br />

Starting Jan. 1 <strong>the</strong> Mechanics<br />

- who last season featured<br />

Garden City native Joe Burton<br />

- will be offering Section 1, 8,<br />

and 9 (on <strong>the</strong> blue line) at $15,<br />

all o<strong>the</strong>r reserved seats at $10<br />

and bleacher seats (general<br />

admission) will be sold at $5.<br />

All groups over 20 will receive<br />

<strong>the</strong> group rate at $8 per ticket.<br />

The Mechanics will also be<br />

selling season tickets for <strong>the</strong><br />

remainder of <strong>the</strong> season starting<br />

with <strong>the</strong> game on Jan. 6<br />

against Danbury. The 24-game<br />

season ticketmcludes all regular<br />

season home games from<br />

Jan. 6 through April 15.<br />

The Mechanics' previous<br />

ticket prices were among <strong>the</strong><br />

highest in <strong>the</strong> league but were<br />

priced competitively with o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

sporting and entertainment<br />

venues throughout <strong>the</strong> metro-<br />
