A TRADITION OF SERVICE
Over the past 75 years, F•E•G•S has helped more than three million people –
each one unique in their needs, strengths, and challenges – discover the best
that lies within them, develop the skills they need to work towards greater
personal dignity, achieve social and economic independence, and strive for
a better life for themselves and their families.
Our strength and success derives from a mission-driven vision to provide the
highest quality and most cost-effective services to those who are most vulnerable
in our community. We achieve this through the many vital partnerships we have
forged through the decades – with our founding partner, UJA-Federation of
New York, and our partners in the government, business, philanthropic, and
foundation sectors.
Together, we have created a synergistic system that combines care and compassion
with a clear commitment to offer programs that meet current and emerging
community needs, and which brings opportunity and hope to tens of thousands
of people each year.
