The Deputy Director is responsible
(West Region).
The Congressional Affairs Office
interacts with members of Congress,
the press, and executives of
other federal agencies to accomplish
the legislative and media objectives
of the OTS. It communicates and
explains policy directives and
actions of the agency to Congress,
the press, the thrift industry, other
government agencies, and employees
through a variety of forums,
including briefings, press conferences,
and news releases.
The OTS uses no tax money to fund
its operations. It draws its revenues
primarily through fees and assessments
levied on the institutions it
regulates.
