Lubrication<br />
Lubrication has an essential influence on efficiency, heat generation and life time. A good choice is a<br />
synthetic oils on the basis of polyglykol and synthetic oil or grease on the basis of polyalphaolefin.<br />
Moreover polyalphaolefin has a high compatibility to common sealing materials.<br />
High viscosity synthetic oils (ISO VG 680 bzw. ISO VG 1000) are used preferably for worm <strong>gear</strong> <strong>sets</strong>.<br />
In case of smaller center distances mineral or synthetic grease in consistency-class 0 up to 00 can be<br />
used as well.<br />

The backlash values are based on an ideal center distance. More backlash will appear if the<br />
center distance is actually at the upper tolerance. 0.05mm above ideal center distance will<br />
result in 0.027 mm more backlash.<br />
